ZigBee is a specification based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for wireless personal area networks (WPANs). ZigBee operates in the ISM radio bands, and it defines a general-purpose, inexpensive, self-organizing, mesh network for industrial control, embedded sensing, medical data collection, smoke and intruder warning, building automation and home automation, etc. There are three different types of ZigBee devices in a ZigBee network
Coordinator (Master): Only one coordinator exists in each ZigBee network. Its function is to store information about the network and to determine the optimum transmission path between any two points of the network.
Full function device (Router, Repeater): Routers act as an intermediate repeater that passes data from other devices.Reduced Function Device (End Device): This device contains a minimal amount of functionality to enable it to talk to its parent node (either the coordinator or a router); it cannot relay data directly from other devices.

The ZT-2053 offers 14 digital input channels which can be used for either dry or wet contact. Its effective distance for dry contact is up to 500 meters. All channels are able to be used as 16-bit counters. The ZT-2053 includes 14 LED indicators to display the channel status as well as 4 kV ESD protection and 3750 Vrms intra-module isolation. Users can easily to configure the module address, protocol, checksum, ZB-PID and ZB-channel settings using a combination of rotary and DIP switches.
The ZT-2043 offers 14 sink type digital output channels with short circuit protection. All channels feature photo-couple isolation. The ZT-2043 includes 14 LED indicators to display the DO channel status. 4 kV ESD protection and 3750 VDC intra-module isolation are the standard. Users can easily configure the module address, protocol, checksum, ZB-PID and ZB-channel settings using a combination of rotary and DIP switches.The ZT-2060 offers 4 Form A power relay output channels and 6 digital input channels, each of which features photocouple isolation. In addition, you can choose sink-type or source-type input via wire connections. All channels are able to be used as 16-bit counters. The ZT-2060 has 10 LED indicators to display the channel status, and has 4 kV ESD protection and 3000 VDC intramodule isolation. Users can easily configure the module address, protocol, checksum, ZB-PID and ZB-channel settings using a combination of rotary and DIP switches.

|The ZB-2510 series are ZigBee-based repeater modules included in the ICP DAS product line. The main difference between these products is the transmission range. The ZB-2510 and ZB-2510-T support an extended transmission range of up to 100 meters, whereas the ZB-2510P and ZB-2510-PA can transmit to a maximum of 700 meters. All modules are able to operate in broadcast and user-defined route modes. When the repeater is set to broadcast mode, the transmission route is constructed by the ZigBee Host. The repeater will forward any data that it receives using broadcast mode. The advantage of this mode is that the repeater can be deployed in a “haphazard” manner without any concern about positioning. However, the main fl aw of this mode is that if there are too many broadcast data packets in a ZigBee network, it will cause the network to crash. In contrast, when the repeater is set to user-defined route mode, it will only forward data using the user configured route. The benefit of this mode is that the data loading of the ZigBee network will be reduced, but the user must plan the data transmission route for the entire ZigBee network before setting up the application. If a mistake is made on even one repeater point, the entire ZigBee network will be invalid. |
The ZB-2500 is a ZigBee packet sniffer that is designed for signal detection and analysis for every ZigBee modules in ICPDAS. When install the ZigBee modules on-site, the ZB-2500 would be helpful to find the best location of signal and we can layout the best ZigBee network topology.
There is another purpose for using ZB-2500. When the ZigBee module go to failure or transmission efficiency is bad, we can use ZB-2500 to detect a specific ZigBee node signal to find out the failure reasons.
The ZB-2500 also works in an adjustable 16 RF Channels and USB interface supported. We can easily operate it via a Windows base utility. As long as we have ZB-2500, we can always propose a solution when first time installing ZigBee modules on-site got failure.
